Creighton Guest Speakers

Thanks so much to the following Creighton players for coming out to talk to the 5th graders today: Will Artino, Jahenns Manigot, and Geoff Groselle. They talked to the students about balancing school and extracurricular activities, the importance of good grades, need for a strong collaboration with your teammates, and a strong work ethic. The kids were able to ask questions and get autographs at the end!

Preschool Buddies - States of Matter

We did a Science activity with our preschool buddies this afternoon. The preschoolers are learning about the states of matter. What better way to show that than making and eating pancakes? The 5th graders also helped the preschoolers complete a worksheet identifying things as solids, liquids, and gases. They also helped change ice from a solid to a liquid by using body heat from their hands!

We had a great time feasting before the season of Lent began! We had 3 King's Cakes (thanks to the Sanchez Family) and here are those that found the babies in their piece!

We had lots of fun playing our "MINUTE TO WIN IT" games!! We had such a great variety! Thanks for all the parents that helped plan the party, the parents that volunteered, the parents that sent in donations for the party, and for the Gottschalk Family for the yummy pizza!

Shaving Cream Spelling

We had fun today reviewing for our Spelling Test writing our words with shaving cream!

Behavior Bingo Game Day!

The class enjoyed relaxing by playing some games and eating a "unhealthy" snack! They deserved it by earning a Behavior Bingo. They get peace signs to get a Bingo by getting compliments from teachers, TAs, or if I see them doing something well! Way to go 5B!!
